14 & 18 Bridge Repair

 

The beginning of repairs on 18 bridge.  Old decking was removed, and existing joists and beams were repaired as needed

The bridges originally had 3 joists or beams running under the deck. We added 2 additional joists for more strength.

 

 

 

 

New yellow pine deck boards are down and the crew is installing 6 screws per board. It took 1584 screws just for # 18

 

 New rails are on and 18 is finally complete!

 

 

 

 

#14 was mostly the same except for the added fun of working in several inches of water...
